ADDRESS OF POPE FRANCIS
TO PARTICIPANTS IN THE PILGRIMAGE PROMOTED BY
THE SECULAR INSTITUTE OF THE LITTLE APOSTLES OF CHARITY
AND "LA NOSTRA FAMIGLIA" ASSOCIATION
Paul VI Audience Hall
Wednesday, 1 October 2014
The 60th Anniversary of the founding of the Secular Institute, Little Apostles of Charity, has offered you the occasion to come to Rome to meet Peter’s Successor. I greet all of you dear children and young people with affection, and I tell you I am very happy to meet you. Thank you for being here. I greet the bishops, the priests who are accompanying you, the leader and directors of the Nostra Famiglia Association, which takes such attentive care of you and your needs. The Founder, Blessed Luigi Monza, understood disabled people’s need for closeness offered with competence and love. May his charism, supported by Venerable Paul VI, when he was Archbishop of Milan, be an example for families and for those with public responsibility. From the heart, I impart the blessing to you and I ask you to pray for me. Do not forget to! Will you pray for me? Now, all together, let us pray to Our Lady:
Hail Mary....
Now I must go to the Square for the General Audience and I think that you will see it on the maxi screen. I must go. Thank you so very much for your greeting, for your welcome! A mother told me to stay here a little longer, but time flies. I have the Audience in the Square. I would gladly stay with you, but thank you very much. Pray for me! I will pray for you! May the Lord bless you! Have a good day!
